Burn $HEIR for any unclaimed watch. It arrives wound, with fourteen days in the mainspring.

II · wind

Winding is free, and only you can do it. Miss fourteen days and the watch stops — and a stopped watch can never be wound again.

III · name an heir

Anybody who has never held that watch. When it stops, they have three days to take it, free.

IV · the estate

If the heir doesn't come, anybody who has never held it can take it for a burn. Every succession is a red mark on the dial.
